Despite the rain, MTV EXIT’s human trafficking awareness campaign and concert was a success.  DEPDC/GMS tabled the event along with other NGOs working on the ground to prevent human trafficking, raise awareness about safe sex and HIV/AIDS, combat poverty and otherwise promote positive social change.  Also present was Action Aid, TYAP (Thai Youth Action Programme), World Vision, TRAFCORD, Save the Children, Art Relief International  and Gabfai Community Theatre.  It was incredible to network with other NGOs, to see what they are up to, and learn about how and where they work.

The concert itself was a multimedia extravaganza with thousands of screaming Asian fans who’d come out for the Korean mega-sensation that is Super Junior.  Thaitanium (a Thai hip-hop band) was my personal favorite.  We rocked the concert until we couldn’t rock it anymore.  Get a taste here:
