Dear Mr. President

In 2006, pop songstress P!nk wrote an open letter to George W. Bush in the form of the song, “Dear Mr. President.”  I fell in love with her as an artist then because she conveyed a depth and discontentment that rang true in the hearts of many disturbed Americans who couldn’t stand the Bush Administration and its epic failures both domestically and internationally.  Fast forward to 2011 – the song has reentered my life in the form of this re-make about the president of Burma, Thein Sein.  It now has a whole new meaning.
