A Glimpse of Myanmar

Four days were spent in Myanmar successfully visiting two Akha hill tribe communities and one orphanage. Clothing and medical supplies were delivered along with blankets, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, notebooks, rulers, pens, and soccer balls for the kids which were a hit!  I have a lot to say about the journey but will need some time and space to process it all.  In the meantime, take a glimpse into a country that has the world’s longest running military dictatorship; sees very little tourism; and is home to watchful eyes that track your every move. No one prepared me for the beauty that is Myanmar – in both the landscape and the people.
